Here's Our Story
We are Elaine and Don. Married for over 33 years. Living in Denver, Colorado, USA. Have been traveling the world together since before we were married. And we are now retired after 40+ year careers and raising two kids - time to crank up the energy!
Since our retirements on December 31st, 2021, we have been working at making the most of our free time. The idea for this blog came about after one of our recent gatherings with several other friends who are retired. We have had some great conversations about all sorts of topics common to our retired lives: recent trips, planned trips, new restaurants, old friends, finances, politics, volunteering, part-time jobs, pets, good reads, lifelong learning, cooking and recipes, movies and shows, sports, health, aches and pains (and occassionally children).
It got us thinking that it might be valuable to pass some of this info along to others in the form of a blog with our comments, recommendations, tips and tricks, warnings, and more.
But that is just half the story. As a visitor here, we certainly hope there are some takeaways of use to you. But we also hope that you might have some contributions that can be of help to other visitors to this blog. Ideally, we hope that there is some information that you can offer as well.
